Arabic chat app — talk to new people in Arabic
Drdshe is a free Arabic chat app for adults. See who is online now, start a conversation in Arabic — in any dialect, or in English — and keep it going with text, photos and voice notes.
What Arabic chat on Drdshe looks like
Open the app and you land on the online list: people who chose to appear online right now, each with a display name and gender. Tap someone to start a private, one-to-one chat. There are no crowded rooms and no public timeline — every conversation is between two people.
The whole interface is available in Arabic, laid out right-to-left, so menus, buttons and messages read naturally. If you prefer, switch the app to English at any time; the language you chat in is up to you and the person you are talking to.
Write the way you speak
Arabic online is not one language. People write in Saudi and Gulf dialects, in Egyptian, in Levantine Arabic from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine, in Iraqi, and in the Maghrebi dialects of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. Some type in Arabic script, others in Arabizi with numbers for letters. Drdshe does not sort people into country rooms or force a dialect: you simply write the way you speak and the conversation finds its rhythm.
That makes it easy to meet Arabs online from other countries, or to chat with someone who shares your own accent. If a word does not land, ask — explaining a local expression is often the best part of the chat.
Arabic and English in one app
Many people switch between Arabic and English in the same sentence. Drdshe is built for that: the app works fully in both languages, and you can chat with Arabic speakers abroad or with learners practising their Arabic. The bilingual chat guide explains how switching languages works.
Text, photos and voice notes
Typing is not always the fastest way to say something in Arabic. In every chat you can send text, photos, and voice notes of up to two minutes — handy when a dialect sounds better than it looks written down. Drdshe has no live voice or video calls; voice notes give you the warmth of your voice without being on the spot. More on that in voice chat on Drdshe.
No phone number, no email required
You can join with an email address, or without one: “Join without email” creates a login ID for you. Drdshe never asks for a phone number, and other members never see your login details — only your display name and gender. Read why Drdshe works without a phone number for the full picture.
Respect first, adults only
Drdshe is for adults aged 18 and over. Conversations are expected to stay respectful, and you can block or report anyone from the online list or from any chat. Moderators review reports, and accounts that break the Community Guidelines can be suspended or banned. See safety on Drdshe for the details.
