Where the name comes from

“Drdshe” is the Arabic word دردشة (dardasha) — “chat” — written in Latin letters. In Arabic the app is simply called دردشة. You may also see the older spelling “Drdsha”, and the service was previously known as “Anonymous Chat”. They are all the same app; Drdshe is the current name and drdshe.com is its home.

What Drdshe is

Drdshe is a place to talk to new people without giving away who you are. You sign up with a display name, a password, your gender and your age; email is optional and a phone number is never asked for. Other people see only your display name, gender and online status. From the online list you choose who to message, and in private chats you can send text, photos and voice notes of up to two minutes.

Drdshe is for adults only. It is a respectful social space to make friends and have good conversations — not a place for explicit content.

What Drdshe does not do

Being clear about limits matters as much as listing features. Drdshe has no live voice or video calls. It does not match you with random strangers — you choose who to talk to. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted; they are removed after a short retention window (30 days by default), and the Privacy Policy explains what is stored and why. Drdshe will never ask for your password, codes or money in a chat.

Official links

The only official website is drdshe.com. The web app is at app.drdshe.com and works in any modern browser, including on iPhone. The Android app is downloaded from the Android page on drdshe.com; it is not on Google Play yet, so any “Drdshe” listing in another store or on a file-sharing site is not ours. For questions, write to ops@drdshe.com.

How to spot a fake copy

Download the APK only from drdshe.com, and check that the address bar shows drdshe.com before you sign in on the web. The real app never asks for your phone number, and the Drdshe team will never message you asking for your password or a code. If you see something pretending to be Drdshe, please tell us at ops@drdshe.com.

Built around safety

Anyone can be blocked in one tap, and reports go to moderators who review them under the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Report reasons include spam, harassment, inappropriate content, impersonation and suspected underage users. Push notifications show only “New message”, photos are stored behind short-lived private links, and you can delete your account at any time with a seven-day grace period. Read more on the safety page.
